Annemarie Martin
Annemarie has worked in the creative and cultural industries for over 15 years. She is a qualified teacher (post 16) and an experienced and skilled project and events manager, with expertise in project planning, delivery and management. She has devised and delivered participatory arts projects with and for youth groups, community organisations and in primary and secondary schools.
Her background covers youth work, care and advocacy work with adults with learning difficulties, and working as a performer and arts practitioner in community settings including work with diverse cultural groups, vulnerable adults and within the prison and probation service. Prior to this, Annemarie set up and ran her own hairdressing and beauty therapy business as a teenager.
She is Professional Development Coordinator for Hope Street Ltd, an arts organisation dedicated to the development of artists, art forms and arts in the community, and is also responsible for managing a broad range of projects for the organisations trading company, Culture Inc., for which she has managed numerous projects commissioned by Liverpool Culture Company, including three major Friend Ship projects and violence awareness projects in secondary schools. She is also responsible for the organisation's employment agency, securing work for local artists and cultural producers, as well as managing our very own 12 foot Beatles Puppets.
