Name:
Paul Corcoran
My name is Paul Corcoran, I am 26 years old and originate from Huyton, Liverpool although have lived in Liverpool city centre for 4 years. I attended John Moores University where I achieved a BA in Marketing, Media and Cultural Studies as well as later acquiring an MA in Marketing. I now support JMU by running enterprise workshops for young entrepreneurs as well as facilitating marketing sessions for new business start-ups.
I am one of three directors that make up my company; Agent Marketing which was established in May 2006 to provide a full service marketing service to both private and public organisations. Our client base is extremely diverse working with a large number of SMEs, corporates and social enterprises, all of whom are based primarily in Merseyside and the North West.
In the first year of trading the company has won one award for outstanding success in the first year of trading from Business Link, 08 Connect and JMU as well as being short listed by Groundwork, The Liverpool Echo and the City of London Awards for Responsible Business awards. I was also shortlisted and highly recommended for an Alumni Achiever of the Year Award from JMU and Marketing Professional of the Year at the Professional Liverpool Awards. Agent is also an official associate of John Moores University and the Centre for Leadership Development in that all support given to clients is designed to transfer knowledge at all times.
I am also 'The Urbanite'; a columnist for The Daily Post each Thursday; commenting on the changing face of Liverpool, its style and most importantly its people - which I love.
I currently mentor 3 Princes Trust new businesses as well as sitting on the steering committee for the School of Social Entrepreneurs at Blackburne House and the Common Purpose Merseyside Advisory Board.
